On March 19th the winner of the 2012 James Beard award for best Chef was announced and Scott Howell (pictured below) of Nana’s is a winner. The James Beard award is the highest honor for food and beverage professionals working in North America. Nana’s has become known as one of the best restaurants in NC if not the country. The food Scott creates is exquisite, flavorful, and Rolling Stone rock solid good. What makes Nana’s a bright star in the Milky Way is a culmination of the food and the excellent staff.
And this is Katelin voted by me as the best wait staff of the evening. This is the most attentive, friendly, professional personnel I have experienced. You will not be disappointed if you get a chance to visit Nana’s. (you can see Neil in the background.)
